    !! Stubby Currence who covered sports for “Bluefield（West Virginia） Daily Telegraph” said(1935)：“The dictionary is the only place where you come to SUCCESS before you get to WORK.”

    Stubby Currence 在“Bluefield  Daily Telegraph”（一九三五年）報道的體育版說：“只有在字典中，成功才會出現在工作前。”

    !! In 1994 the adage was ascribed to Vince Lombardi(died in 1970)in a sports column of “The Seattle Times”in Washington：“The dictionary is the only place where success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must all pay for success.”

    一九九四年，這格言來自於 Vince Lombardi（一九七○年去世）在華盛頓的“西雅圖時報”體育專欄：“只有在字典中，成功才會出現在工作前，努力工作是我們為成功所付出的代價。”

    著名作家海倫凱勒是又聾又盲的女子。她（一八八○—一九六八）憑藉着常人難以想像的努力，考入世界頂尖學府哈佛大學，成為美國第一位獲得文學學士學位的盲聾人士——勤奮是成功之母。
