Head Over Heels——墮入愛河

    ** fall totally in love // intensely involved // utterly, completely and thoroughly

    ~~ 熱烈的熱情；墮入愛河；深深的崇拜；瘋狂地愛着；深深地愛着；陷入熱戀；深深迷戀；熱情地；神魂顛倒／／狂熱地；熱切地；強烈地；從頭到腳／／非常地，深深地；完全地；全部地。

    ~~ madly in love; crazy in love; deeply in love; love-struck // having ardent passion; got a big crush; infatuated with // fanatically; fervently; passionately; intensely

    !! When a prisoner was hung by the heels with his head down he was helpless. Thus “heels over head” was used to express helplessness. Long after this brutal practice was stopped, the saying with the same meaning was changed to “head over heels.”

    當囚犯被吊着腳跟，頭朝下時，他是無助的。因此，“heels over head”用來表達無助感。在這種殘酷的行為停止很久後，同樣意義的諺語被改為“head over heels”。

    !! In Contemplative Man(1771): “He gave [him] such a violent involuntary kick in the face, as drove him head over heels.” In a somersault rolling backward, the head is on top of the heels.

    在《沉思的人》（一七七一年）中：“他不由自主地猛踢他的臉，把他踢得頭暈目眩。”向後翻滾時，頭部位於腳跟上方。

    >> A lasting couple doesn’t need to fall head over heels all the time; wisdom may tie them together longer.

    一對維持長久的夫妻不需一直充滿熱情；智慧或能讓他們一起更長久。
