Pull the Plug——讓某人死去

    ** to terminate or remove various life-supporting mechanical and electronic equipments being used to prolong life of a moribund patient

    終止或移除用於延長垂死病人生命的各種生命支持機械和電子設備。

    !! “Pull the plug”connotes to the removal of a stopper that, if pulled out, or pulled up, would flush a gravity feed water closet (toilet).It could also evoke a mental image of pulling out a electrical plug that is inserted to a wall socket, as if cutting off electricity to an electrical appliance.

    該術語意味着拔除一個塞子，如果拉出或拉起，會地心引力沖水的水廁（廁所）。它還可如拔出牆壁插座電插頭的心理形象，就像切斷電器電源一樣。
